A Bill of Lading (or BOL) is one of the most important documents in any household goods move. It serves as the contract between the mover and the shipper, outlines the services being provided, and documents the terms of the move.

Note: A generic Bill of Lading alone is not enough to properly protect your company during interstate moves. A BOL should be backed by a DOT compliant Interstate Tariff. The charges and terms listed on the Bill of Lading should reflect the rules and provisions contained in your tariff.
